Three kinds of casting processes and special processes realize all needs of material production

Casting is a manufacturing method in which molten metal is poured into a target mold and solidified to make a metal product. Kaibara performs various casting processes, such as continuous casting, horizontal and vertical centrifugal casting, and sand-casting processes. Kaibara can cast all types of materials, and shape weighing from several grams to several tons. In addition, Kaibara selects optimum processing, with advanced technology gained from abundant experience, and responds with a short lead time for small-lot and mass production.

Types of Casting

Continuous Casting

Continuous casting is used to cast molten metal continuously into molds. This method makes it possible to form materials into various shapes such as round bars, pipes, and square materials. Continuous casting ensures high productivity and is suitable for mass production.

Centrifugal Casting

Centrifugal casting is used to cast molten metal into molds that rotate at high speed and produce hollow cylindrical castings using centrifugal force. This method is suitable for forming materials into pipe-shaped products such as bushings, worm wheels, nuts, and seal rings. Centrifugal casting is often used for small lot items.

Sand Mold Casting

Sand mold casting is used to cast molten metal into consolidated sand molds to produce castings with complicated shapes.This method is suitable for unusual shapes and small lot items.

 

Heat Treatment and Precision Mold Forging

If further strength and accuracy are required, we will use heat treatment and precision forging processes to offer higher quality products.
